Purr Department

Dognormous is proud to be bringing cat grooming to our list of services! Even though we’re pretty dog focused, we finally have an expert to create a special department for our purr friends. Just like our dog services, our cat services are going to have the same manor of pricing and service expectations. All our purr clients must arrive in a carrier. A top loading carrier is our most ideal form of transportation, but any carrier that your cat is most comfortable in will do, it just has to be a pet labeled carrier. A box, laundry basket, or a pillow case are examples that we will not accept a cat in. We also do not allow any of our first time cat visitors to be anything but sober. We need to be able to see our new purr friend in their natural, unaffected attitude so we can adjust their services to what they need. If we can not complete services due to kitty jitters or bad kitten days, we will discuss options and recommendations for future appointments.

While we don’t regulate our cat clients vaccines, we are going to insist you have proof of up to date rabies. If your cat can not be vaccinated for any reason, your vet will need to write a letter of exemption. This is to keep both our groomers and your cat safe.

All new clients must fill out our cat form which can be found >HERE< and if you are an existing dog client who wants to add your cat to your file, you can find the add a pet >HERE<

Coat Resets

Sometimes our cat’s maintenance gets away from us and things get a bit tangled. This can be dangerous for the cat, even more so than our dog friends. This is where the coat resets come in. Resetting the coat involves us taking the coat off and getting all the mats out so your cat’s skin can breath, receive the proper blood flow, and exfoliate normally again. Coat rest services include a mandatory, 8 week revisit to do a cat cleanse service and ensure that everything is growing back in healthy. The revisit is included in the price, and if you choose to not show up to your revisit, you will not receive any refund or discount for the reset service. We want to make sure that your cat stays in a healthy state and if there is something going on that is out of the ordinary, we can let you know to bring it to your vets attention. This service must be administered by a Certified Master Cat Groomer as this service can be very dangerous since we can not see what is underneath the matted coat and the proper handling of the skin and the cats stress levels needs an experience groomer to be completed safely.

First Reset - starting at $375

This includes the removal of mats, nail clipping, a cleanse, and a follow up appointment 8 weeks from the date of the first service. Price may fluctuate depending on severity of coat and/or behavior.

Second Reset - starting at $575

This for a second reset with us and includes the removal of mats, nail clipping, a cleanse, and a follow up appointment 8 weeks from the date of the first part of the service. Price may fluctuate depending on severity of coat and/or behavior.

Third Reset - Starting at $775

If a third coat reset is needed, you will need to pre-pay your appointment and you will need to discuss with your groomer the best course of action to help resolve the reason behind why this keeps happening. This will include the usual reset services and this time you will need to schedule 3 appointments after the revisit. If any of these are cancelled, a cancelation fee could be applied and/or we may deny any future services.
